Add Token

An explanation for adding tokens as assets to MetaMask.

Click the "Add Token" button located at the bottom of the Assets tab on the MetaMask main screen.

For tokens managed by MetaMask, search the token name on the search tab, select the desired token from the results, and click "Next." Click the "Add Token" button on the next screen.

Search for and add DAI tokens

Tokens not managed by MetaMask must be personally added from the Custom Tokens tab. Fill in the token contract address and click the “Next” button, then click the “Add Token” button on the next screen as in the add token from search.
