Create Wallet

An explanation for creating a MetaMask wallet.

Install MetaMask

MetaMask Go to the official MetaMask website. Click the “Download” button in the top right to go to the download page and install the MetaMask plugin for your web browser.

We recommend using the Chrome web browser. Click “Install MetaMask for Chrome.”

Click the Add to Chrome button in the Chrome web store, and click "Add extension" in the pop-up.

Click the plug-in icon at the top right to pin the extension (pin icon) and use it conveniently.

Create Wallet

Click the Metamask plug-in icon to create a wallet. Click the "Start" button.

Click the "Create Wallet" button to start creating a wallet.

Read the Improve MetaMask explanation and click the "That’s Okay" or "Agree" button.

Create a password. This password is required to unlock MetaMask and use the wallet.

Set a password that is at least 8 characters, check the “Terms and Conditions” in the check box that is below the input box, and click the “Create” button.

Secret Backup Phrase

Carefully read and follow the instructions.

If you have separately stored the secret backup phrase displayed on the screen as described, click “Next”. (The words are masked.)

View the secret backup phrase that is backed up, and click the button below to list it in order. After listing all words, click the “Approve” button (words have been masked).

Click the “Done” button to complete the wallet creation.

Once you have completed creating your wallet, you can check your wallet account and balance by clicking the MetaMask plug-in icon in your web browser.

The process of creating a wallet in the MetaMask app, Trust Wallet, or imToken has some differences on screens and procedures, but the basics are the same.
